The Tribulation had an appointed time.

The Covenant and Its Results
It is written: Dan 9:27‐And he (the man of sin, the Antichrist) shall confirm the covenant (or agreement, or treaty) with many (which is Israel and others) for one week (or 7 years, or 7 x 360 days, or a total of 2520 days).
As a result of the covenant, Israel now believed it was dwelling safely.
They were saying it was now a time of “peace and safety.”
They didn′t realize that sudden destruction was about to come, as Russia and its allies were about to hit them
with a military force, such as the world had never seen.
Israel had made an agreement with death. God had warned Israel in the Scriptures that the agreement would not
stand, but Israel didn′t hear.
Israel had made an unthinkable mistake. They had trusted in the leader in Europe, which was the Antichrist, rather
than trusting in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Israel was being protected by the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but they did not know it or take notice of it‐Ezek 38:14.
Israel was about to be threshed.
The verse (Dan 9:27) continues to the midst of the Tribulation:—and in the midst (or middle) of the week (or 7)
(or at the point of 1260 days) he (the Antichrist) shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease (or he
shall put an end to the sacrifice and offering), and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it
desolate, (or on a wing [of the temple] he will set up an abomination that causes desolation even until the
consummation (or end), and that determined (or decreed) shall be poured upon the desolate (or on him, or the Antichrist).
Later in the first part of the Tribulation, the temple would be rebuilt on the Temple Mount. Sacrifices and
oblations would be initiated. But when the Antichrist reigned and ruled in Jerusalem and proclaimed himself
to be God, he caused the sacrifices and oblations to stop.
The Tribulation consisted of two parts of 1260 days each, however the first part was shortened. If it had not been shortened, when the end of the Tribulation came, no flesh on earth would have been left alive.
As should later be covered, the elect (those that had put their trust in Jesus Christ) were to flee when the Abomination of Desolation would be seen, which was approximately 1260 days from the end. Because the first part of the Tribulation had been shortened, they could not count 1260 days from the date of the covenant. Rather they had to look for the Abomination of Desolation to occur, and then flee fast to the place that God had prepared for them, which was yet unknown.

The Tribulation did not begin immediately after the Rapture.
It began after the man of sin (also called the Antichrist) came forth, established himself, and then confirmed a
covenant or agreement with Israel and others.
This was listed in Dan 9:27.
Then the time of trouble such as never was—came. The Tribulation began.
******************************
There are no adequate words to describe the Tribulation that is now past and the Battle of Armageddon that followed.
There are no events from world history to compare with what has happened in the last few years.
It was unprecedented.
It was a time of sheer terror, a time of lawlessness, of murders, violence, senseless brutality, rape, destruction of
property, and stealing, such as the world has never seen.
It was a time when people tried about everything to get a new high.
It was a time of earthquakes and starvation that killed many.
It was a time of wars that killed billions.
It was a time when fallout from the bombs that no one believed would ever be used poisoned the atmosphere.
It was a time when all green grass (or farm crops) would be destroyed all over the world.
It was a time when one‐third of all the trees on planet earth would cease to exist.
It was a time of suffering, sickness, diseases, pain, fear, sores, and agony.
It was a time of betrayal, with brother against brother, wives against their husbands, children against their parents.
It was a time of lying and false accusations, and imprisonment for the innocent as well as the guilty.
It was a time when a person could trust no one.
It was a time when God poured out the many judgments of His wrath to try to get people to repent.
It was a time when nearly everything a person did was being watched and recorded. It was a time when every form of sin
imaginable was committed. People lived in fear from day to day. It was a time of total self‐centeredness and every man for himself.
It was a time of trouble such as never was.
It was a time of total control over people′s lives, as they were required to take the mark of the Antichrist in their
forehead or right hand, and if they did not, they were unable to conduct any transactions that involved money, buying or selling.
Despite all of this, it was a time when merchants would prosper.
Twelve times the word wrath is used in connection with the Tribulation or with the Battle of Armageddon in the KJV. In addition, it is used four more times in the NIV. Note Rev 6:17‐THE GREAT DAY OF HIS WRATH IS COME. In addition it is in Jere 30:7‐The time of Jacob′s trouble; Dan 12:1‐A time of trouble; Lk 21:22‐The days of vengeance.
Before the Tribulation, mankind had turned away from God. The cursing of His name was common when a person got mad, but sometimes cursing His Holy Name became a part of daily speech. Even the Christian churches were no longer teaching to please God, but rather to please people; yet they were so blind, they did not know this. Some of the most horrendous sins in the Bible were commonplace, such as men with men and women with women. There were even so‐called Christian churches for people to attend that practiced alternate lifestyles, and marriages were allowed with two men, or two women.
Israel had also turned from God. Even in Israel, the Holy Land, gay parades and flags were common. There seemed to be little shame. People of alternate lifestyles became more and more common. Around much of the world and even in Israel, it was beginning to be as Sodom and Gomorrah.
Ezek 34:16‐To destroy the fat and the strong of Israel. To feed Israel with judgment.
Isa 17:4‐11‐Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the Rock of thy strength.
Jere 30:14,15‐Because thy sins were increased. For the multitude of thine iniquity…have I done these things unto thee.
Dan 9:24‐To seal up the vision and prophecy.
Dan 9:24‐To anoint the most Holy.
Rev 7:9,13,14‐To bring people to Jesus Christ.
Rev 14:12‐That they should keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
Jude 15‐To execute judgment.
Jude 15‐To convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds, which they have ungodly committed.
Isa 13:9‐To destroy the sinners (out of the land).
Isa 13:11‐To punish the world for their evil and the wicked for their iniquity.
Lk 21:24‐To bring to an end the times of the Gentiles (Until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled).
Isa 61:2‐To proclaim…the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn.
Ezek 36:22,23‐For God′s holy name sake, to sanctify My great name.
Lk 21:22‐That all things which are written may be fulfilled.
Deut 4:29,30‐To cause the Jewish people to seek Jesus and to be obedient to His voice.
The Bible gave approximately 22 names regarding the Tribulation. Some of these include:
Isa 28:21‐His strange act,
Lk 21:22‐The days of vengeance,
Rev 3:10‐The hour of temptation,
Dan 11:36‐The indignation,
Jn 9:4‐The night,
Jere 30:7‐The time of Jacob′s trouble,
Mk 13:24‐The Tribulation,
Dan 9:27‐(The seventieth week),
1 Thes 1:10‐The wrath to come.
As already mentioned, the Tribulation began with the Antichrist confirming a covenant or agreement with Israel and others.
At the beginning of the Tribulation, there were well over 7 billion people alive on the earth. Following the Battle of Armageddon, at the Judgment, there were so few, a child could write them.
✤Soon after the Rapture happened, and about the time the Tribulation
began—there came a time that all wind on the earth ceased. John saw FOUR ANGELS STANDING ON THE FOUR
CORNERS OF THE EARTH HOLDING THE FOUR WINDS OF THE EARTH THAT IT SHOULD NOT BLOW ON THE EARTH, NOR
ON THE SEA, NOR ON ANY TREE.
✤Nothing on the earth and sea was hurt at this time.
At that time, 144,000 male, virgin Jews were sealed with the seal of the living God on
their foreheads. There were no lies in their mouth. At that time, they did not
believe in Jesus Christ, but that would soon change.
This seal protected them from the soon coming destruction that came upon much of the earth.
It protected them from those that would later seek to kill them, as they would evangelize the
earth Twelve thousand were sealed from each of the tribes of Israel. These were Judah, Reuben,
Gad, Aser, Nephthalim, Manasses, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, Zabulon, Joseph, and Benjamin. Many were Ultra‐Orthodox.
The fact that they were called—being offered as the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb may indicate they were the first to be saved after the Rapture happened.
None were sealed from the tribe of Dan. Regarding the tribe of Dan, it was written in Gen 49:17‐Dan shall be a serpent by the way (or roadside), an adder (or viper) in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall (or tumbles) backward. Dan is never listed in the New Testament. The Antichrist was from one of the tribes of Israel. Dan, however, is among the tribes during the Millennium.
